I don’t post much over at Marigold anymore. That’s partly because I have less time now, and partly because it seems that, lately, every post I make or thread I start is overlooked, or people just don’t respond, or something. I posted a link to my article about online friendships and relationships at womengamers, and 2 people responded, and they didn’t even have comments about the article. I feel as though they didn’t even read it, since I’m not one of the close friends group in the bulletin board. Maybe I’m searching for validation, or maybe I just want acknowledgement… all I know is that, while nobody’s playing favourites, I can’t help feeling like I don’t make the cut. I got the same sort of non-reaction when I mentioned the MSN chat thing… while it’s not really necessarily a big deal to anyone except me, it would have been nice to get one of those posts saying ‘hey, that’s cool!’ that I see so many other people getting.

Damn I’m obsessive sometimes.

Everyone enjoys getting some validation! nothing wrong with that. 🙂 And getting the article and the honor of being an expert asked to give opinions in chat are just that, honors. Hopefully your proud of your accomplishments as well as the people admiring you for same. Congrats by the way for being so accomplished!
