    aha!

how very clever of you 😉

seriously, I know you are miserable with your current state of affairs, but if this job/life decision stuff is causing you such strain…..well, then….. put off thinking about it. seems pretty logical to me!

(of course, the trick is to do that and NOT beat yourself up about taking that time!)

Take Your Time – Step by Step

JennyLee: I was faced with a huge job decision in March. I was vacillating until my luv said to me that I really should take the offer from Company Y. Company X made a counter offer and then I couldn’t decide, so I made up a spreadsheet in Excel and weighed the importance of each item and came up with a score. That way it’s subjective, but the numbers help make the decision for you. If you disagree, you can always add new categories or change the weightings (after all it’s your decision). I know that sounds so INTP (intuitive-thinking-perceiving-introvert on the Meyers-Briggs personality scale), but it worked for me. By the way, my employer only won by 4 points out of 400!

The weird thing, in retrospect, is that if I had taken the other job, I wouldn’t have been in Toronto in July and I might never have met you, Daruba or Cyn!! –Mikhail
