Jay & I talked last night. It was good. He keeps teasing me though, saying I’m going to be a housewife… I have trouble with that title, for some reason. I think it’s a by-product of being raised in a feminist society… the kind of place where women are looked down upon for being at-home mom’s (“Oh, you’re just a mother, I’m so sorry you had to give up your career for that…” Like being a mother isn’t WORK or something…) *sigh* anyhow. I can’t stay here. Although I’m actually doing something today, which is a change.

I quit work to be a stay at home mom. my last day is the last working day in December. Then I’ll be working full-time as a mommy 🙂

and you know what? I’m soooo glad I made that decision! It makes me feel so good that I’ll be giving my complete attention to my little girl.

I know that, when I have kids, I want to be able to stay home with them for at least the first few years. It feels like the right thing to do. That won’t be for a while, though.
