I have to start figuring out what to take with me….

Carry-on Luggage:

  • Cunt – the book by Inga Muscio
  • a bottle of water
  • Freedom’s Challenge by Anne McCaffrey (one can only read so much Cunt, you know…)
  • My writing book
  • My walkman & headphones
  • Tapes for the walkman
  • My cameras
  • Extra batteries
  • Pens
  • Something to snack on

Any other suggestions? I haven’t flown very often, I don’t really know what to bring…

Gravol if you get plane sick. Make sure that bag is near if you ever need to puke, muahaha!

heh… cyn suggested Ginger snap cookies, for the same reason. I’ve never been planesick the 4 times I’ve flown so far… I love flying 🙂

Gum or hard candies to suck on (in case your ears pop while flying like mine do) 🙂

      Less is More

I have found that the less I take the better I feel. I really hate draging a bunch of stuff through strange airports. But necessities would be:

      a book
      hard candy
treats (sometimes the airplane food is not a lot to write home about)
maybe a walkman (depends – sometimes I can’t hear the music over the roar of the engines of the plane)
      camera

one piece of luggage to put under the seat or in the overhead.

Traveling is stressful enough without having enough hands to carry everything you might decide to bring with you. If you want more stuff, you could always check in a piece of luggage – but I really don’t like waiting on my luggage on those circular luggage racks.

Anyway, just enjoy the trip and that is the main thing.

Well, since I’m going for longer than a week, I have to bring a second piece of luggage to be checked… I couldn’t possibly carry enough clothes in my carry-on bag. 🙂

Now all I have to do is figure out how to get to the airport tomorrow morning…

          Re: Less is More

I know what you mean. But I have (in the past) taken very few clothes and just washed out clothes when I get to the location I am going to. I am usually so tired that toting a bunch of luggage is the last thing I want to do.

But I love traveling! Absolutely adore traveling!

Does the subway go out to the airport? Or do you have special van service like we do here in the states that you can call for a ride (not like a cab) for a special flat rate to get out to the airport? I have done that and it works out very nicely.

Enjoy your trip and just have a good time!
