No dear. Staying home because you’d rather play with kitties is a lame excuse. Not being sick.

    You’re staying home tomorrow, right?

Nah, staying home because you’re sick isn’t something to feel guilty about… in fact, going to work sick can be rather selfish, especially if whatever you have is potentially contagious. I know when I used to work, people would come in sick all the time, and, since my immune system isn’t terribly strong, I can catch just about anything that’s going around. I would get so sick during the winter. Even now, I’m only exposed to whatever my husband or his best friend bring into the house, but generally if someone at his work is sick, I’ll get it too — he’s never been terribly vulnerable, but it’s like he picks up stuff just enough to pass it on to me. :/

At any rate, don’t feel bad. Think of it not only as a “get-well” present to yourself, but a “don’t get sick” present to your co-workers and their families. 🙂

Don’t worry about it, I feel the same way…

But the truth is, you should stay home if you will be doing the company little good at work.

I just have such a hard time following through on that…
