I started a novel in grade five. I never did finish it. I wrote five pages of it. It was a fantasy novel about the usual fantasy type stuff that girls are interested in… Unicorns, Pegasii, Dragons, good guys, bad guys, misguided guys, and so on… the standard stuff. I still have the five pages, though. I had such grandiose ideas then.
I’ve been thinking about writing something up for MediaChic, that Sci-fi/Fantasy website I’ve been looking at. I don’t know what to review though… I’m reading The Freedom Series by Anne McCaffrey right now, and Mom gave me a bunch of other books to read for Christmas, most of them McCaffrey books. I don’t think the Sark book (which totally rocks, by the way, thanks Oki!) really applies to the sci-fi/fantasy world, but nearly every other book I own is fantasy or sci-fi.
Books I am currently reading:
Transformation Soup – Sark
Freedom’s Challenge – Anne McCaffrey
Cunt – Inga Muscio
Creative Visualization – Shakti Gawain
Other books on my immediate to-read list:
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep – Philip K. Dick
Pegasus in Space – Anne McCaffrey
A Diversity of Dragons – Anne McCaffrey
Starship Titanic – Douglas Adams (I actually have the book-on-tape for this, it came with the game when I bought it.)
I’m sure there are more that I’m forgetting, but hey. I can only remember so much at any given time.
