The interview went well. I did some testing for typing speed and knowledge of Word and Excel, as well as some alpha-numeric data entry stuff. My results were good – even the ones for Excel, which I was sure I would bomb, since I don’t know it that well. I just made some logical assumptions for a lot of the questions, and ended up getting it right. Call it educated guessing. So now I’m listed in their computers for short term temp work. I type at, by their calculations (on an unfamiliar and kinda squishy keyboard) about 77 wpm. She seemed impressed with that.
Finally got in touch with the person who can play guitar for me at the SecretCon Show, so I won’t have to be so worried about how less than good i am at guitar, and all I’ll need to do is sing. We’re getting together on Friday so he can learn the songs I want to do. This is goodness of high proportions. He already knows one of the songs I intend to do, we’ve performed it together once before.
Hopefully my cold won’t progress to a state that my voice is gone by friday. That would suck.
