I feel thoroughly exhausted, even though I haven’t done anything strenuous all day. Yesterday we bought the strongest possible non-prescription cough syrup, and to my surprise it worked quite well. Now I’m not coughing much anymore, I’m just horribly tired out from couging before. We were going to go to the emergency room at the hospital yesterday, but when we got there it was crazy-busy and I didn’t feel like going through a third SARS screening this week, so we just went to a pharmacy instead. The pharmacist told me, though, that if the cough doesn’t let up soon, and because of my history of bronchitis, I should definitely talk to a doctor and get a cortizone spray, because chronic bronchitis is now linked to asthma or something. I think I must never stay overnight at a smoker’s house again. This week has been hell on my lungs.

I tried installing the motherboard that phil gave me to try out. It powers up but won’t do anything – no beeps, no video, just the sound of the fans running. To this end, I am still computer-less. I have basically resigned myself to this fate. I’m too tired to feel anything real anyhow.

Have you tried just powering on the mobo with just power and video card (no drives)?

Not yet… putting the mobo in in the first place tired me out. I’ll give that a shot later on when I’ve got more energy.
