Learning how to knit

I knitted a very small slipper. Now if only I had a yarn needle to sew it together, then I could use the pattern to figure out how I’m going to make golf club covers and larger slippers. This slipper looks as if it would fit a kid about 5-8 years old. Also, I really need bigger needles, these ones are way too small for making anything loosely knit. It just doesn’t work out. I can’t take the slipper off my knitting needles, either – not until I get a yarn needle with which to sew. When it’s done, does anyone need a slipper? If someone says yes, I’ll make a second one so it’s a pair, and then you can have them. It’s a dark burgundy colour.

My sister’s getting married near Peterborough this coming September 11th, which is pretty cool. This time she’s letting the family come to her wedding – last time she told us about it two weeks after she was already married.

You know, the first thing that ran through my mind was, “Wow, she’s getting married on the anniversary of 9-11.”

That’s the first thing I thought when she told me too. Just a coincidence – it’s the only date available that worked with their schedule that the place they’re getting married isn’t booked.

I didn’t know if it would sound weird or not that that was the first thing I thought of…

Personally, I think it would be nice to make that day a happy memory, y’know?
