What time is it? It’s cold in here….

My mom likes having all the windows in the house open. The house is on a concrete foundation. Even after it warms up outside, the house remains cold. I have learned to cope by wearing slippers and thick hoodies that have ‘Wisconsin’ on the front.

I’ve pretty much adjusted to the time change, but Adam’s still confused and jet-lagged. He looks at the clock at 8:30 pm and feels shocked nearly every night. It’s very cute.

We went to the library in Maple Ridge yesterday, and I picked up two Charles De Lint books. I wanted the second book in the Dark Tower series, since I just finished the first, but they didn’t have it. Adam also wanted a Dark Tower book, he needs book six I think, but it’s not due back until next week sometime, so he got The Fabric of the Cosmos instead.

Saturday we went to White Rock, but I may have talked about that already.

I miss my own computer desperately, and I seriously wish we had a GameCube for Adam to entertain himself with. They’re cheap now, but we definitely don’t have the money for something like that when we’re trying to get our things (namely, computers and bikes) shipped out here.

Basically, this week if we want to do anything it has to be as cheap as possible. We’ve got 3-Zone transit passes, so we’re free to move around, and we can spend on snacks and coffee and such, but no more 20$ to get into places and do touristy stuff. In other words, we need a guide or two to take us around to interesting places. Any takers?
