Snow and rain

It rained all day today. On the mountain, that was snow. Walking outside in the rain and then walking outside in the snow made me realize something about how I process weather.

I don’t feel cold when it’s cold and snowy.

I get chilled to the bone and can’t shake it when it’s cold and rainy. And I don’t even have to be getting rained on, even if I’m just standing in a shelter outside and it’s raining, I feel like I’m freezing.

I guess it’s one of those things I’m going to have to get used to.

The snow on the mountain is beautiful, though. I have a feeling the season might start early this year. Apparently last year the season started at the end of November, which was already really early. At this rate this year it might be sooner. I think Adam & I brought climate change with us when we moved to the west coast or something. Mom keeps telling me it’s not usually this cold this early.

I finished Wild Animus today. I still don’t know how I feel about it. I’ll have to mail it to someone soon, so they can read it. Any takers? Adam’s too tied up in the Dark Tower books to read this one. I want to get my hands on book two of that series so I can read it. I’ve read book one, but it wasn’t that interesting, and I’m told the rest of them get better and better.

Work today was uneventful. The weather was awful, so no one really went up the mountain. I kept busy in the stockroom. I was covered in white papier-mache stuff from the I-beams holding up the building. It was dusty.
