Plane tickets and bikes and nuclear wessels…

Today we went to two bike shops and I test rode three different bikes. In between we stopped at Flight Centre where we picked up the wedding flight tickets to get back to Toronto. We are now officially going back to Toronto on the 27th of August in the morning, so we’ll be arriving in Toronto by 2:15 or so EST.

I first test rode the DeVinci Remix One, which was okay. The second test ride was the Kona Dawg, and I guess when I came back into the store with it I was grinning like mad. It was pretty awesome. The third was the Giant Reign, a very technologically advanced bike that felt pretty good, but I didn’t come back grinning like mad.

One application for credit later, and I think I own a Kona Dawg. I’ll know for sure by Monday, but I don’t forsee a problem. I never thought I’d own a bike I need to make monthly payments on, I tell you…

My brother, who told me yesterday he was coming, then told me today he’d be coming today, has now said he’s not coming today. About three weeks ago I stopped believing he was ever going to make it here when he told me he was.

We also saw some awesome military ships down at Lonsdale Quay. Took a few pictures of them, as well as the Vancouver skyline (I liked the clouds) and noticed a sign saying they’re going to have a tour of the biggest one (HMCS Calgary) tomorrow between 1 and 3pm. I think we’re going. Pictures are up of the ships, the bike, and me in the Photo Journal.
