Help Wanted

I’m the office administrator at an office downtown and we need to hire someone full time for a customer service position. It’s not a tough job, we need someone who can provide good customer service over the phone and can do accurate data entry for magazine subscriptions. All customer service is inbound calls, no cold-calling or outbound sales or anything like that. It’s a well-established company, and most of the staff is fairly young, with a business casual attitude. The magazines are all outdoor sports oriented (fishing, outdoor adventure, hunting, yachting, and so on.) Here’s the ad I posted on Craigslist:

Busy office in downtown area has an immediate opening for a bright, energetic, outgoing Customer Service Representative. Do you have a fantastic phone manner and enjoy providing great customer service? Are you comfortable on a computer, providing accurate data entry to complement your excellent customer service skills? If this describes you, then you may be the person to fill the role of full time Customer Service Representative at our office.

Required Skills & qualifications:

  • Great phone manner
  • Outgoing, enthusiastic and upbeat personality
  • Well organized
  • Self-motivated & able to work independently
  • Good data entry & computer skills
  • Superior communication skills

Our office environment is located in downtown Vancouver with regular business hours. Compensation will be commensurate with experience, with a benefits package after three months.
