One of those people that gets things done…

We should be taught not to wait for inspiration to start a thing. Action always generates inspiration. Inspiration seldom generates action.
– Frank Tibolt –

Never heard of him, but the quote came up on my google page this morning. Yes, my life currently revolves around my personalized google page.

Headache is still lurking, though not nearly as bad. I have filing to do this afternoon. It’s cloudy and threatening rain, and I rather like it. I had to drive today again, because I dropped Adam off at the SeaBus. I miss biking to work… soon I hope.

that quote came up for me as well.
i don’t really like it though. i think inspiration often generates action.
but i kind of liked his way of saying it.

You may think that because you’re surrounded by people who do things.

I know quite a few who have inspirational ideas but never actually do anything with them.

I know both kinds though… I guess it’s a matter of perspective or something like that.

well, sure, inspiration doesn’t guarantee action, but it often impels people to action. on the other hand i know all sorts of people who are inspired on the couch. doers are much more likely to use inspiration.

i think though there is much value in the thought that you are much more likely to be inspired or creative or whatever if you’re putting yourself out there. seeing new things. experiencing new eriences and etc. it’s only the truly gifted that get real inspiration after 3 years on their sofa.
