      Thanks!

It’s all a bit weird so far. I’ve known I’m pregnant for a month and a half or so, but I still don’t really *feel* it. Maybe once I’m showing…

Has the first trimester been kind to you so far? I’m still waiting to see what’s in store for me, as I’m only about half way through it…

I’ve mostly been exhausted. I want to nap every day around 3:00 or so, which is troublesome at work.

Otherwise, though, no morning sickness (feeling so lucky about that one) and only occasional digestive weirdness. Eat lots of fibre. I signed up for weekly emails from Babycenter.com – it’s been pretty neat to get them, actually.

        January 7, 2008 at 10:39 pm

Fatigue, heartburn, an increased appetite, and gas are about the only obvious signs I’ve had, too. And I concur with the nap at 3:00. That would be loverly!

I will pick up some fiber suppliments, incase I’m not getting enough in my regular diet. I’m taking some prenatal vitamins, but I’m not sure if they include any fiber. Thank you for the tip! I’ve only had passing mild waves of nausea so far. My mom said she had morning sickness pretty badly, though, so I’m planning for the best and preparing for the worst.

I just signed up at their website, it looks pretty cool! Have you been to whattoexpect.com? It’s by the people that publish “What to Expect When You’re Expecting”. I’ve been getting daily emails from them for the past week or so, and they’re pretty cool 🙂

So, I have one person online and one person IRL that is going through this at almost the same place I’m at (you two are both further along than I am), and I think that’s SO COOOL!!

        January 7, 2008 at 11:13 pm

I’ve had folks warn me off the ‘What to expect’ books, because they said they tend to tell you EVERYTHING that could go wrong, which can make you a bit paranoid over things. I’ll check out the website, though.

It’s definitely cool to know other people in the same situation… I have four other people at work who’re pregnant (wait, one just had her baby, make that three.)

        January 8, 2008 at 12:50 pm

Yeah, the book I was given at my first prenatal visit had that effect. Don’t get me wrong, it has a lot of good information, but I think it must also include every instance of what could go wrong in every chance of a worst case scenario. I guess some people feel they have to warn you about the negative chances, but da-yam, it can be a bit much for a first timer to process…

    Congratulizations!

And yes, get Sesame Street on DVD… even if you do get more channels, because the older ones are way better.

      Thanks!

I’ve been eyeing sesame street on DVD since they announced a release… I can’t imagine having grown up without it! And the new one, although I haven’t seen it in a few years, just didn’t impress me that much.

You can mostly blame Adam. He was looking through name websites and suggested Magnus. I told him that if it was going to be Magnus, it could only be Ultra Magnus. 😉 I don’t think it kicked in for him what the name was for a bit, though…

Ultra Magnus? People will call him “Um” for short.
Change the pre baby name to “Grand Master Flash”

    (I congratulate you.)
