there’s not a word yet for old friends you’ve just met…
Sometimes that’s how it feels and I can never tell why or how. It hasn’t happened in some time though. I miss that feeling… I miss knowing someone and feeling understood.

I have no inspiration anymore…. I can’t say that I haven’t written because I’m trying too hard, because I tried not trying… and I tried trying… and I tried just writing, and it all came out wrong. I can’t even finish a thought. It’s taken me two hours to write this journal entry. Something’s lost, something’s missing, something’s begging to be found I don’t know where to look or what to say. I can’t put my feelings into words tonight, but I feel like I’m falling apart because the words are all gone.

    Old Friends You’ve Just Met

About Old/New Friends – When we had dinner on Queen St. in July, I felt strangely at ease with you and Cyn and Daruba. It was kind of like the feeling you described, like I had known you all a long time. The net gives you a head start getting ot know someone. On the other hand I have met quirky-religious, so friendly-it’s-scary people who told me “I can see that you and I could be really good friends” thank god they were wrong about that.

Inspiration – Sometimes I’m most inspired when I have no time to follow through. Maybe you need to carry a pocket tape recorder to get ideas you can use later. I haven’t written anything creative for many many moons. Inspiration and happiness don’t always go together.
