We biked in the rain to work today, and got to test out our rain biking jackets. They work fantastically, I have no complaints whatsoever. And they’re nice and reflective, too! I was on bar tonight, which was fun as always. There’s something I like about working at the bar… it’s much more social than just standing around the back of the theatre, I think. I must find out, however, where I can go to get my Smart Serve Certification.

Biking makes my legs ache in a good way.

I am, however, quite tired. Tomorrow, being Wednesday, is a double day, so I’ll be even more tired by the end of the day. Wahoo!

It is now my Mom & Merv’s Anniversary as well as Merv’s birthday. I feel like I should do something, but they’re so far away…

Call the CFRA, they should know where you can do Smart Serve. Most bartending courses include it in the price of the course, and a lot of restaurants use it in their training.

IMO, although a lot of people say they require you to have it to get employment, it is an absolute load of shite. How to tell if someone is drunk: are they wobbling, is their speech slurred etc etc. Then they make you determine if people in little skits are “red lights” or “green lights”.

If you have nothing better to do, it is at least an entertaining way to spend an afternoon, in a campy, grade 9 health class sort of way 🙂
