Coughing + insufficient sleep + tension headache from hell = JennyLee staying home from work today. And the worst part is when I cough my head feels like it’s going to explode.

Sera has taken up permanent residence in my lap. I think the cats have missed me lately, the past few days when I’ve actually been at home they’ve followed me around looking miserable. Even now with Sera on my lap, Dayle is sitting at my feet crying and trying to find room to jump up here with us.

I think I’ll make a cup of tea and consider walking over to the body shop to buy a new eye pillow, since I haven’t been able to find mine for a couple of years.

I wish Aleve was an over-the-counter drug in Canada…

Aleve is a prescription still? Dang! Aleve is a wonder drug!

When I’m sick like that I’ve found the best thing is to have a nice warm vaporizer near my bed during the night. I will put some of the eucalyptus stuff they sell to go along with it. I still will cough a bit but it’s a lot better. I’ll also get some Vick’s Vapor Rub and put that on my chest. It’s sticky and messy but it helps me breathe enough to stop the non-stop coughing. If I wake up coughing it’s time to reapply!

    Get better soon!

    It’s not? That sucks!

Try 800 mg of ibuprofen. That puts a good dent in most of my headaches.

For a moment I thought I left my Aleve there, but I found it in my purse, which means it’s here, and not there. 🙁

Should I return, I will bring with me three cans of Easy Cheese, two bottles of Aleve (most likely a generic version), and a partridge in a pear tree.

Generic works as well as the brand name.

I ran out of easy cheese. It made me sad.

You know, I’ve seen plenty of partridges, but I’ve never actually seen a pear tree. Weird.

      I hope you return…
