Our one-way flight out of Toronto to Vancouver is booked and paid for. We leave on the 26th of September at 8:00pm, arriving in Vancouver at 10:10pm. Now it’s real. Our tickets were a reasonable price, too, and we get to bring the cats onboard with us as carry-on luggage. Hopefully they won’t be loud… They seemed okay with 5 hour driving trips, but this whole flying thing might be completely different. I just don’t know.
So here are our plans:
August 15th – pack up all of our stuff in this apartment that we’re keeping and go up north. Leave behind/get rid of/sell excess furniture
August 17th – Approximate start date of the canoe trip
August 22nd – Approximate end date of the canoe trip
The rest of August – Organize and sort our stuff in storage up north. Live up north. Go biking a lot.
Sept. 10th – head down to Peterborough for my sister’s wedding
Sept. 11th – My sister’s wedding.
Sept. 12th – maybe try to meet up with Ottawa people, if possible.
The rest of September – Go back up north and pack whatever we’re going to need shipped out west to us.
Sept. 24th – come back to Toronto for Yom Kippur with Adam’s extended family.
Sept. 26th – Fly out of Toronto.
Everything after Sept. 26th is a complete mystery to me. Except that I told my mom that I want an Angel Food Cake for my birthday on October first.
The future is unclear and beautiful.

Don’t feel bad, I read too much to remember a lot of stuff anyhow.

I love that attitude. I have always felt most alive when I had no idea what was comming at me after a big move…

May 31, 2004 at 6:05 pmhey, a friend of mine heard, and then tried, giving her cat’s, about a quarter of a tab of gravol before travel. it made them drowsey and slept through most of the high stress experience. it was a vet reccomended solution to a tense cat travelling type problem.

I hope I get to say hello/goodbye in late July when I’m (tentatively) back in Toronto again.

June 1, 2004 at 10:33 amAssuming you can work at least a little bit around my schedule of doom, that shouldn’t be too much of a problem… 🙂
