Last night things kept me awake until 3:30am. I was not pleased at 7:15am when I got up to head for work. Must try to relax.
Work today was incredibly boring once again. I had about five sales all day, and I managed to organize and re-hang all of the snowboarding and skiing gloves. They look lovely now. It’ll last about a day once the snowboarders and skiers come back (if they ever do…) Tomorrow they tell me that they’re opening the smaller terrain park for snowboarding. I doubt it’ll be particularly good… the snow is much more like slush than snow. But what can you do?
I came home to perogies for dinner, and then Adam and I met up with a girl I work with who has a truck and was giving us her old television. Now we have a television, but it doesn’t get any channels. Are there even any channels in this city that you can get without cable? Global maybe? CBC? Anything? I think we need some rabbit ears.
She also drove us over to her friend’s place, where they were giving away a china cabinet, a small desk, and a few other odds and ends. We picked up the cabinet and desk as well as a lamp that needs a special bulb replaced. Adams computer is on the small desk. I really mean small – his monitor covers over half of the lenght of the desk and the entire width. I’m on the floor still. The air mattress is now our couch.
We are officially geek-hippies.
