Nothing much in the way of an update to give. The fireworks last night were quite good, although I nearly lost my cool when we were trying to get out of the beach area. The press of people was almost mob-like, and I can understand now how people get trampled and badly injured when things go wrong at these things. I swear, with all those people pressing up against me, pushing me from behind against an immovable wall of people ahead, I could feel my heart rate rising, I could feel a kind of panic setting in. I really wanted out. If I go to English Bay for the fireworks again, I will better plan our exit – I’ll find somewhere we can wait out the masses, and just head out in my own time. Disturbing feelings, I tell you.
As for the fireworks show itself, it was quite good. I think I liked Sweden better for synchronization, but China had some pretty amazing fireworks that I had never seen the likes of before. We were impressed. Oddly enough, although we were front and centre to the barge, the music barely reached us at all. Poor planning.
The Lions (mountains in my userpic) look like Madonna 90s era boobs. Boobs are fun. At some point I’ll buy myself upgraded userpics.
The wedding is exactly one month from today. (aw crud, and I thought I’d get through a whole entry without mentioning it. Sorry folks.)
Work is work. I’m enjoying it. I could’ve worked the Adventurous booth at Tweet
