I was watching the Collector tonight, when right at the most exciting part of the show the channel went to white noise and fuzz for a minute, then brought back video with no audio (just fuzz for audio.) I was not impressed.
Sleeping this afternoon gave me a headache. I’ve taken something, but it hasn’t kicked in yet.
I wonder how much more overall stress I can handle before I snap at someone? Any bets?
After getting something to eat, I sat on the couch with Adam watching some episodes of the Muppet Show. We both started to feel incredibly sleepy, so we went to lie down, and ended up sleeping the entire afternoon away. Woke up around 6:30 or so. I feel like I’ve lost time somehow, sleeping so heavily mid-afternoon.
Speaking of losing time, I think Daylight Saving Time ends soon. This weekend I think.
They can’t find anything physically wrong with Adam. He’s just in pain, apparently for no valid reason. We’re both exhausted from being up half the night, haven’t eaten yet today, and are feeling just generally disheartened. We’re going to have lunch then probably try to get some sleep. I’ll go back to work tomorrow.
Have to go back to the hospital this morning for 9am to get Adam’s catscan done.
Didn’t really get much sleep last night. I’ve called work to tell them that, while I was supposed to be late due to my own doctor’s appointment, I am now going to be late due to Adam’s catscan and whatnot. No real ETA for me.
If it’s a large kidney stone they’ll have to operate to get it out. Not sure what timeframe that works on. If it’s smaller, then he has to wait until it passes. Neither option is particularly fun.
I took Adam to the emergency room at Lion’s Gate hospital tonight around 9:30. We just got home, it’s nearly 2am. Very tired.
I have to take him back to the hospital first thing in the morning for a catscan. They think he might have a kidney stone (on top of whatever else is wrong with him, because that doesn’t actually explain everything that’s going on, sadly.)
And so first thing tomorrow morning I’m taking him back to the hospital for his catscan.
In the meantime, we try to get some sleep. He’s in some pain, but hopefully he’ll be able to fall asleep.
1. Copy and paste your friends list behind a cut.
2. If you’ve friended multiple journals by the same person, delete all but the “main” one.
3. Bold the name of everyone you know or have met in “real life.”
4. Italicize the name of everyone you’ve spoken to on the phone, or sent text messages to/received text messages from.
5. Underline the name of everyone you’ve chatted with online.
6. [Bracket] people you’ve known, online or off, for more than five years.
7. Turn family members red
8. Turn your crush blue
9. Pass it on
I walked into a wall that was two feet high this morning on the way in to work, tripping over it and reaching out with one hand to keep from falling. Now the palm of my hand has that pavement burn feeling to it. I don’t do mornings very well.
I should run errands after work tonight. I don’t feel like going home right away, and I’m sure I can come up with things to do.
We were sitting here, minding our own business, Adam playing his game and me working on a website, when we suddenly heard a loud ‘crack,’ akin to the sound of a light bulb exploding. We stopped everything we were doing and looked around. It sounded to me like it came from Adam’s desk, but we couldn’t find anything. There are no broken light bulbs. There is no sign of anything being wrong at all, in fact, and we have no idea what caused the sound. It’s a little bit creepy.
I’ve finally started some work on my website redesign (yes, I do this once in a while. The last one hasn’t been particularly effective for what I want, so it’s time to move on.) I’ve put it all together in a nice photoshop file, now I just have to work out how to translate all of that to HTML. That’ll be the challenging part. I’ll tackle it tomorrow perhaps, after I’m done running errands. Hooray for dreamweaver.
Adam’s playing black & white now. I will have to get back to that when he’s at work tomorrow night. It doesn’t run on my computer (what with my computer being about 7 years old or something) so we have to switch off playing. It’s interesting watching our different playing styles – I’m predominantly good, winning over towns by making my town so fantastic everyone wants to live there. He’s predominantly evil, creating armies and sending them in to take over towns by force. It makes for a bit of a different game.
